REV. JOHN ELLIS




Rev. John Ellis was the third husband of Dovie Samantha Self, one of the daughters of John J. Self and Lydia A. Waters Self. The picture of him was loaned to me by Marie Davis, a granddaughter to Rev. Ellis. Dovie and John were married on November 30, 1913. He was born August 17, 1866 in Cherokee County, NC I have been told. He died November 2, 1955.He is buried at the Coker Creek Cemetery, Tellico Plains, Monroe County, Tennessee.
