REV. FRED C. SELF HAS DIED

Rev. Fred Clifford Self, age 85, of Maryville, died Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the family home. Rev. Self was a member of East Maryville Baptist Church and the former pastor of several churches. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was preceded in death by his son and daughter, Garry Self and Margaret Ann Cooper. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Anna Mae Rogers Self; Sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Michele Self and Larry and Becky Self; grandchildren, Tony Cooper, April Self, Amanda Johnson, Darrell Thomas, Dana Basler, and Darren Self; 5 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Butch Cooper; sisters, Judy Payne and Calberta Best; . Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at East Maryville Baptist Church with Rev. Butch Cooper, Rev. Keith Johnson, and Rev. David Frame officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery for Interment Services.
