Barry Self is the SELF proclaimed family genealogist and historian, having spent over 20 years researching this Self line. BETTY SELF MCCALL OBITUARY



Betty (Self) McCall, age 79, departed from her home in Maryville, TN, peacefully, without fear with her spiritual belief guiding her. She brought joy, love and loyalty to all that knew her, whether for an hour or a lifetime. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She became a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a 1956 graduate of Everett High School and married Hugh McCall in 1974. In February of this year, they celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford Self and Ola Mae (Connatser) Self; sister, Edith (Self) Barry; brother, John Self. Left to cherish her memory are husband, Hugh McCall; daughter, Alicia (McCall) Crabtree and husband David; granddaughters, Ashley and Makenzie Crabtree; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Maryvin Loveday; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Martha Self; sister-in-law, Susan Self; sister-in-law and husband, Susie and Max Lewis; sister-in-law, Kay Hanshaw; special friends from Utah, Jeff and Dianne Colvin and daughter Danielle Colvin; and many other loving family members. To name her many friends would be like trying to count the stars on a clear night. The family wishes to thank the employees of Amedisys Home Health and Hospice, they were truly amazing all year. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m on December 2, 2017, at Beech Grove Baptist Church (1519 Topside Road, Louisville, TN 37777) with the receiving of friends/fellowship to follow in the Family Life Center.
