COUSIN VAN LARRY SELF TO TURN 95... IN THE HOSPITAL

Cousin Van Larry Self of Pontotoc, Mississippi, will celebrate his 95th birthday on Monday, April 10th. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Monroe County, Tennessee in 1911. He is the son of J.R. Sherman Self and Lillie Plaster Self and the grandson of John J. and Lydia A. Waters Self. Van is our oldest living relative. He is the only surviving member of his immediate family.

Van (or Larry as some call him) fell in his home on March 16, 2006 and broke his right leg. He is currently recovering from this injury in a Tupelo, Mississippi Hospital. Our best wishes go out to him for a quick recovery. We also wish him a happy birthday.
