McMINN COUNTY HOUSE FIRE KILLED TWO...ONE WAS JAMES SELF

An early morning house fire in Riceville, McMinn County, Tennessee this past Sunday killed two. One was indentified as James Self, age 39. The other victim was a 71 year old woman, Lucille Combs. This information is according to a story that ran in the Daily Post-Athenian on Monday. It was reported that Mr. Self turned 39 the day before the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. James Self was the son of Berlin Self of Niota, TN and the grandson of the late William Onie Self of Tellico Plains, TN. The funeral for James Self and Lucille Combs will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Rogers Creek Baptist Church in McMinn County, TN. Interments will be in the church cemetery.
