JOSEPHINE THOMAS OBITUARY

Josephine Martin Thomas, age 82, of Madisonville, TN passed away 8:57 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007 at the home of her nephew Edwin & Bonnie Russell. She was a member of Unicoi Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband Ray Thomas, parents Avery & Ethel Kirkland Martin, brother Homer Martin, nephew Dennis Martin.
Survivors:­ sister Imogene Russell, Madisonville, TN; sisters-in-law: Ada Martin, Tellico Plains, TN, Eva Grace Oakes, Athens, TN; nieces and nephews Edwin & Bonnie Russell, Estes & Susan Russell, all of Madisonville, TN, Patricia & Dave Bennett, Memphis, TN, Phyllis & Bob Vonslep, Texas; Priscilla & Chris Davis, Seymour, TN, Sonya & Doug Lynn, Tellico Plains, TN, Bryan & D.L. Martin, Madisonville, TN.

Funeral was 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Ronnie Watson officiated. Interment was 2:00 p.m. Thursday in McMinn Memory Gardens, Athens, TN. The family received friends 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, TN.


Josephine Martin Thomas was the granddaughter of Jess Kirkland and Ruth Josephine Self Kirkland.
