RACHEL LOUISE BAIN SELF OBITUARY

Rachel “Louise” Bain Self, 90 of Etowah, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 3, 2016.  She lived a long, fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.  She was a member of Conasauga Baptist Church and the daughter of the late Jewel and Sarah Bain.
Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn W. Self; parents, listed above; brothers, Jay, Hershell, Glen, and Carl Bain; Grandsons, Ronnie Burton and Michael Burton. She is survived by her children, Glenda  and Clinton Martin of Etowah, TN, Bobbie Davis of Athens, TN, Sherry Self of Etowah, TN, Joan Self Morrow of Etowah, TN, Gary and Martha Self of Georgia, David and Shannon Self of Englewood, Teresa and Rick Burham  of Riceville, TN, grandchildren, Laura and Rod Gay of Etowah, TN, Scotty Martin of Etowah, TN, Tonya and Mark Teague of Madisonville, TN, Patrick and Melissa Harper of Decatur, TN, Melissa Self and Shawn Reeves of Georgia, April and Ryan Witmer of Georgia, Gary II and Kayla Self of Georgia, Petty Officer Second Class Joseph and Mandy Self of Mississippi, Rachal Self of Englewood, TN; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Caris Healthcare and Archer’s Family Home Care-Choices. Josh Harper, Paul Harper, Rod Gay, Mark Teague, Gary Self II and Daniel Branch will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Harper and Kyle Gay
 A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Green Hill Cemetery with Pastor Russ Maples officiating.
