Barry Self is the SELF proclaimed family genealogist and historian, having spent over 20 years researching this Self line. DOLORES LUCILLE (BROWN) JOHNSON OBITUARY

Dolores Lucille (Brown) Johnson “Dee” age 84 of Lenoir City, TN,passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Wood Presbyterian Home in Sweetwater.

Dolores was born to the late John Washington and Mary Lydia (Shirk) Brown in Loudon, TN. She graduated Loudon High School and completed business courses before marrying her husband of 44 years, James Ralph Johnson (1999). While she and Jim lived in the Nashville area she enjoyed catering for many public functions. She also was a very talented painter, focusing her work on porcelain and china. She enjoyed membership with the Tennessee China Painters and the Painting Pals Guild of Nashville. Following the death of her husband, she returned to her hometown area where Dolores was a member of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City and a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dolores was preceded in death by her son, James Randall Johnson.

Survivors include her son and wife, Bryan Scott (Dora) Johnson; granddaughter, Hannah Lynn Loucille Johnson; brother and sister in-law, John L. “Injun” Brown (Willie), all of Lenoir City, sisters and brothers in-law, Joyce (Tom) Lusby, Loudon, Nancy B. Gossage, Gallatin and Linda and (Dr. Jim) Evans, Loudon; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services honoring and remembering Dolores Johnson will be held 7:30 PM Thursday, July 26th, McGill Click Chapel. Rev. Russ Stephens officiating.

Interment 11:00 AM graveside Friday in New Gray Cemetery, Western Ave., Knoxville.

The family will receive friends 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Thursday prior to the service at McGill Click Funerals & Cremations, 1366 Hwy 72 N, Loudon, TN.
