Cousin John Heneger has the original copy of this photograph. It is in a large oval frame. On the back of the frame written in pencil are the words C.C. Self and Povo, TN. We know who C.C. Self was and Povo, TN was near the Citico area. There was a Povo Post Office located there many years ago. C.C. Self and his wife Mosurie once lived in that area of Monroe County. We would like to know if the baby picture is in fact C.C. or one of his children. I'd be willing to say it is one of his children, but I cannot tell if it is a boy or a girl. Any ideas ?

Update on this photo...

As of last Friday this photo has been identified. Cousin John Heneger wrote to share with me that his aunt, Anna Johnson identified the baby as her sister, Nellia Smith who died when she was about two years old. I checked my records and I have her date of birth as 1-13-1905 and her date of death as 11-8-1907. She is buried at the Citico Cemetery, Vonore, TN and was the daughter of James and Mary Self Smith. C.C. Self would have been her grandfather. Thanks to John Heneger and Anna Johnson for solving this mystery.
