It is primarily for information pertaining to the SELF surname, more particularly for descendants of John J. and Lydia Avaline Waters Self, who were married in Union County, GA in 1851. Barry Self is the SELF proclaimed family genealogist and historian, having spent over 20 years researching this Self line. Johnnie Bell Self Dailey, age 83, of Maryville, Tennessee passed away suddenly Monday, April 29, 2013. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roley and Vietta Sellers Self; sisters, Leola Choate, Lillian Choate, and Burnice Ramsey; and brothers, Dallas, Floyd, W. C., and Earl Self. She is survived by her husband, Ray Dailey; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Bill Stover of Palmetto, GA and Penny and Mark Bisterski of Delafield, WI; sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold and Lynn Dailey of Oklahoma and Eddie and Pat Dailey and Dickie and Vickie Dailey of Maryville; grandchildren and spouses, Lisa and Paul Davis, Shannon and Greg Brown, Jennifer and Ronnie Maston, Jeffery and Cheri Dailey, Brian Dailey, Amanda Dailey, Cory and Kayla Dailey, and Tyler Dailey; great-grandchildren, Holly, Kelly, Natalie, Tanner, Hunter, Harper, Rylee, Kylee, Waylon, Jaden, and Brayden; sisters, Mary Truett of Gastonia, NC and Polly Hancox of Alcoa; special friends, Sharon Dailey, Nick Mason, Jamie Click, Wendy Jones, Donna Dailey, Charlie Devine, Eric and Carrie Carden, Evelyn Hill, Kendra and Kirsten Tokeshi, and Annis Amburn; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Tommy Self, Rev. Joey Bivens, and Rev. Leon Amburn officiating. Family and friends will gather 10:00 AM Friday at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, (865) 982-6041,
