ERSIE SELF COOPER OBITUARY

COOPER, ERSIE CORDELIA, age 92, of Vonore, TN, widow of Lee Willard Cooper, went home to be with her Lord 5:10 a.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013 at home. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Preceded in death by infant son, Randy Lee Cooper; granddaughter, Sharon Butler; parents, Emery and Mary Self; sisters, Bessie Bibee and Lucy Hill; brothers, Lawson and Bill Self. She is survived by 8 children; daughters and spouses, Shirley and John Butler, of Madisonville, Peggy and Alvin Thomas, Lovonda and Jim Fowler, of Vonore, Darlene and Roberts Russell, of Loudon; sons and spouses, Ronnie and Molly Cooper, Reece and Cindy Cooper, of Madisonville, Randall and Donnie Cooper, of Vonore; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews; her church family and the caring staff of Amedisys Hospice of Sweetwater. Funeral 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Rev. Dennis Robinson, Rev. John Butler, Rev. Tommy Self officiating. Interment 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Mt. Zion Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, TN.
