DILLARD GLENN SELF OBITUARY

Dillard Glenn Self, age 95, a lifelong resident of Tellico Plains, TN, passed away 3:20 A.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Starr Regional Medical Center, Athens. Member of Unicoi Baptist Church. Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. An iron worker by trade, a member of the Ironworkers Local Union #384 and traveled the world extensively for his job. Survivors, daughters & son-in-law, Shirley Self Bivens Warren, Tellico Plains, Margaret Self Lee & Don Lee, Manning, S.C., grandchildren, Angelia Martin, Kimberly Black, Shannon Bivens, Jeff Lee, Cindy Vickery & Scott Lee, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, Preceded in death by wife, Mayme Jo Witt Self, grandson, Glenn J. Bivens, parents, Fred & Mary Josephine White Self. Funeral 3 P.M. Saturday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. B.J. Wall officiating. Interment Epperson Cemetery, with military honors provided by V.F.W. Post 5156 & D.A.V.  Chapter 93. Family will receive friends 1-3 P.M. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains, TN.
