BETTY BROWN OODY OBITUARY


Betty Lou (Brown) Oody, age 74 of Loudon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, February 27th at her home with her family by her side. Betty was a member of New Macedonia Baptist Church. For more than 25 years she co-owned and co-operated B & J cleaning services with her best friend, Jenny Curtis. She enjoyed flower gardening, and loved her family and friends. When you visited her home, you were well cared for and when you left, she made sure your clothes were clean and your belly was full. Most of all, she loved her Lord Jesus.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Mary (Gourley) Brown; brothers, Leroy Brown and Ralph Brown; sisters, Ruth Smith, Jenney Snow, Florence Brown and Edna Brown; brother-in-law, James "Darb" Oody. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Oody; sons and daughters-in- law; Doug and Wilma Brown, Steve Oody, Joey and Delores Oody; grandchildren; Chad and Shay Oody, Haleigh Oody, Joseph Potter, Hope Oody, Ashley Oody, Emily Oody and boyfriend, Holden Woods, Chad and Kasey Fairless; great grandchildren, Bryer, Baylor, Sebastyn, Kenzie and Ethan; sister, Sarah “Cotton” Runyon; brother-in-law and sisters-in law, Herbert and Pat Oody and Linda Oody.

Services honoring and remembering Betty will be held 7 PM Friday March 2 at the New Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Oody officiating. Serving as pallbearers. Brad Brown, Kevin Brown, Chad Oody, Chad Fairless, Chris Oody, Jason Oody, Jeff Oody and Robby Oody. Interment will be 11 AM Saturday in Valley View Cemetery. CROWDEN, Bentley Matthew, 3 days old, of the Ballplay Community, Vonore, Tennessee, passed away 6:17 a.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Childrens Hospital. Heaven has gained another angel.

BREEDEN, GEORGE (G.C.), age 85, of Vonore, Tennessee passed away 10:20 a.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at his home. He was the son of the late Nelson and Harriet Breeden and was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 4 brothers. He retired as owner/operator of East Tennessee Excavating. Member of New Macedonia Baptist Church and attended Union Fork Creek Baptist Church. Survivors:

wife of 63 years, Charlotte Breeden; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Carl Self;

son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jasmine Breeden, of Vonore; grandchildren, Staci and Eddie Dean, Tiffany Breeden, Lacie and Brandon Duncan, Katelyn and Austin Gourley, Apollo Breeden, Cory and Jordan Treadwell; 8 great-grandchildren; special friends, Teresa Breeden and Bob Keenan, of Vonore.

CARROLL EDWARD TUCKER OBITUARY



CARROLL EDWARD TUCKER, age 94, of Tellico Plains, Tennessee, passed away 7:14 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at Madisonville Health and Rehab. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired concrete finisher. He was preceded in death by wife, Prudie Crowder Tucker on February 6, 2010; parents, Jobe and Grace Hollingshead Tucker; sister, Birdie Veal; brothers, Creed and Delano Tucker; step-son, Jim Crowder. Survivors: daughter, Carolyn McKenzie, of Madisonville;
sons, and daughter-in-law, Michael Tucker, Melvin and Teresa Tucker, of Tellico Plains; grandchildren, Shane Roller, Kassandra and Felisha Harris, Tiffany Moser,
Jeremiah Tucker, Cheryl Russell, Missy, Josh, and Amanda Crowder;
great-grandchildren, Charles and Matthew Ferguson, Alex Roller, Landyn Watson,
