DORIS ANN TUCKER OBITUARY

Doris Ann Tucker, 84, of Tellico Plains, TN went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family at Sweetwater Hospital, Sweetwater, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Clara Stewart; sister, Reba Gibson; brother, Aaron Stewart and special nieces, Melba Peebles and Nancy Tolbert.

Doris is survived by her husband of 64 years, Reed Tucker  of  Tellico Plains; daughter and son-in-law, Tooter and J.W. Coleman of Tellico Plains; son, Bunkum Tucker of Tellico Plains; granddaughters and spouses, Jami and Tommy Babb, Amanda and Cody Smith, Lauren and Sam Hunt; great-grandchildren, Cameron Coleman, Colton Smith, Cooper Smith, and Scout Hunt; sister, Lassie Claborn; special nieces, Shelva Hardy and Patricia Moreland, and several nieces and nephews

Family and friends will assemble at 12:00 noon Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Myers Funeral Home and proceed to Center Cemetery for the 1:00 p.m., graveside service with Rev. B.J. Wall officiating.

 

PAMELA SELF WORLEY OBITUARY



Pamela Self Worley, passed away January 21, 2018. She was born in Graham County, NC on November 8, 1953 to the late Riley and Zetta Anderson Self. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Frank Worley; along with brothers, Tony and Jerry; and two sisters, Cleo and Becky. Becky was there to greet her as they both left this world for their heavenly home only days apart. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." Proverbs 31:28.
Our family was truly blessed that God chose her to be our Mom, Gram, Maj, MawMaw and Mamaw. We each had our special name for her and she loved and adored each of us dearly as we were her pride and joy and greatest accomplishments. Those left to cherish sweet memories are her children; Chris (Ann) Worley of Hudson; Joe ( Kristi) of Portsmouth, VA; Susan (Andy) Propst of Granite Falls; her dear grandchildren, April (Jordan) Wingler; Kristi Burkett; Jordyn Propst; Audri (Matt) Reitz; Camdyn Propst; and Joe Worley, Jr.; her precious great-grandchildren, Caleb Foust; Sophia Hamby; Dawson Hamby; Kaylee "Girlfriend" Wingler; and Tucker "BB" Burkett; sisters, Dottie, Avis and Mavis; and brothers, Benny and Mark.
She also had many nieces and nephews along with other special family and friends that will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM. BECKY SELF SMITH OBITUARY



Becky Self Smith, 68, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, TN.
          A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Riley and Zetta Self.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Cleo Sharpe, Tony Self, and Jerry Self.  Her sister, Pam Worley of Granite Falls, NC, joined her in heaven only a day after Becky passed away.
          She was a retired LPN and has provided care for many families in the area.  Becky was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church but had been attending Hosanna Baptist Church.
          She is survived by her children and their spouses, Steve and Crystal Garrett of Hickory, NC, Doug Garrett of Hickory, NC, Jeremy and Renee Swanson of Murphy, NC, J.W. and Grace Culbreth, of Robbinsville, NC, and Josh and Eva Culbreth of Robbinsville, NC; her sisters, Dottie Smith (Ray) of Pensacola, FL, Avis Severt and Mavis Cody (Johnny), both of Robbinsville, NC; and her brothers, Benny Self (Clarice Ann) of Robbinsville, NC, and Mark Self (Rita) of Hildebran, NC.  Her grandchildren are Tiffany Williams, Stephen Garrett, Carson Eller, Keilee Pressley, and Everlee Pressley.  She also has many special nieces and nephews.
          Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Townson-Smith Funeral Home.  The Reverends Darrin Self and Max Turpin will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00pm at the Chapel, prior to the service.  Committal services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.
