JOSEPHINE THOMAS OBITUARY

Josephine Martin Thomas, age 82, of Madisonville, TN passed away 8:57 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007 at the home of her nephew Edwin & Bonnie Russell. She was a member of Unicoi Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband Ray Thomas, parents Avery & Ethel Kirkland Martin, brother Homer Martin, nephew Dennis Martin.
Survivors: sister Imogene Russell, Madisonville, TN; sisters-in-law: Ada Martin, Tellico Plains, TN, Eva Grace Oakes, Athens, TN; nieces and nephews Edwin & Bonnie Russell, Estes & Susan Russell, all of Madisonville, TN, Patricia & Dave Bennett, Memphis, TN, Phyllis & Bob Vonslep, Texas; Priscilla & Chris Davis, Seymour, TN, Sonya & Doug Lynn, Tellico Plains, TN, Bryan & D.L. Martin, Madisonville, TN.

Funeral was 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 in Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Ronnie Watson officiated. Interment was 2:00 p.m. Thursday in McMinn Memory Gardens, Athens, TN. The family received friends 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, TN.

Josephine Martin Thomas was the granddaughter of Jess Kirkland and Ruth Josephine Self Kirkland.

COUSIN KEVIN FOWLER HAS MARRIED

Cousin Kevin Lee Fowler of Vonore, TN was married Sunday, August 5, 2007 to Lydia Grace Skidmore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Skidmore. The ceremony was held at 7 p.m. at Dara's Garden, 2637 Maryville Pike, Knoxville, TN. Kevin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Fowler of Vonore and the grandson of Ersie Self Cooper. Congratulations to the happy couple!
